Job Description
Camp Counselors are highly motivated individuals that are responsible for the daily supervision, daily activity planning and implementation, safety, and group management of campers.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- At least 6 months experience with children in a structured setting or programs
- At least one year of college education in some natural resource field, parks and recreation, or education field (or equivalent training and experience)
- Ability to work in the outdoors and inclement weather conditions for long periods of time
- Ability to participate in physical activities that may include, but are not limited to hiking over hilly terrain, water paddle tours, gardening, games
- Ability to obtain First Aid/CPR/AED training
- Ability to communicate effectively with adults and children
- Must have reliable transportation
- Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with co-workers, campers, and work as a team
- Ability and desire to learn skills and information related to job
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
