Sports Coach

We are looking for a Sports Coach to join our team at Oakfield Short Stay School in Leicestershire, UK. The role involves using sports to engage pupils who struggle to engage in school and deliver high-quality activities or coaching sessions. The successful candidate will have a Sport England recognised award, experience of coaching young people, and an understanding of the National Curriculum for physical education.

Requirements

• Sport England recognised award (e.g. fitness or movement & dance) or National Governing Body Coaching Award (level 2 or equivalent)
• Literacy and numeracy equivalent to level 2
• Substantial experience of coaching young people
• Experience of planning and delivering sports activity sessions in and after school
• Understanding of the National Curriculum for physical education
• Experience of working in a pupil referral unit, special school, ERB or with cohorts of pupils with additional needs
