We are seeking a compassionate RN to work with our Primary Care team and in the Rapid Access Addiction Medicine (RAAM) Clinic. The RN will provide nursing services, including low-barrier addictions care to clients and their families, and assist in the delivery of primary care services to vulnerable populations.
Requirements
- RN with current College of Nurses of Ontario registration
- Minimum 3 years nursing experience, ideally in a combination of hospital, community and/or public health settings
- Addictions nursing experience required
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as required
- Strong organizational, communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work both independently, and collaboratively, within an interprofessional team environment
- Perform clinical activities according to the College of Nurses standards for nursing practice
- Knowledge and proficiency in current evidence based practices of primary care delivery, with an emphasis on health promotion and harm reduction
- Experience and flexibility to respond to fluctuating workload and changing environment
- Awareness of and sensitivity to health issues particularly within individuals who face barriers to accessing care
