A nationally recognized architecture, engineering, and planning firm is seeking a creative and driven Structural Engineer to join their collaborative team in either the Santa Monica or Sacramento office.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution; Master's degree preferred.
- 5–7 years of experience in building structural design, focusing on steel, concrete, wood, and/or masonry systems.
- Active California Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- In-depth knowledge of California Building Code (CBC), ASCE 7, ACI, AISC, and related structural standards.
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as ETABS, SAP, SAFE, RAM, RISA, and Enercalc.
- Working knowledge of Revit (BIM environment).
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams, including architects and MEP engineers.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare and review structural calculations, drawings, and specifications.
- Hands-on experience with construction administration (site visits, RFIs, submittals).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective technical discussion and documentation.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
