Structured Notes Lawyer, Global Markets (Vice President)

Nomura is seeking a Structured Notes Lawyer to join their Transaction Legal team. This role involves providing transactional advice on structured notes, covering both credit and rates, working with structured products, and assisting with product governance. The legal team is large, working across multiple Global Markets businesses and values collaboration and continuous learning. The position offers exposure to senior management and an opportunity to influence the bank's strategy.

Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of Prospectus Regulation
• Strong background in retail structured securities offerings (particularly in Switzerland, France, Italy)
• Experience with third party distributors (e.g., MIFID II, PRIIPS)
• Knowledge of ISDA credit and rates definitions
• Affinity with orphan SPV programmes and SPIRE
• Strong experience with product governance under MiFID II
• Experience with a law firm transactional department
