Job Description
NOLA Public Schools seeks an Educational Diagnostician to join the Student Evaluation and Support Services (SESS) Team, providing psychological, social, sensory, and educational services to children ages 3-22. The role involves evaluation coordination, participation in Student Assistance Teams, interpreting assessments, and developing interventions, and conducting assessments for preschool-aged children. The position aims to foster student capabilities and prepare them for success.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Education
- At least one year of experience in the certified special education area
- Minimum of three years of experience as an Educational Diagnostician or comparable special education experience
- Valid Louisiana Type A, B, or Level 2 or 3 teaching certification for generic special education
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of laws and regulations pertaining to special education
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Basic computer skills
