Resident Engineer

This is a post-sales Resident Engineer (RE) role for Nokia Federal Solutions (NFS) to government customers, supporting testing, PoCs, and demonstrations. The RE will act as a technical lead, work independently, and collaboratively with a team. Responsibilities include configuring Nokia IP/MPLS products, participating in proof-of-concept testing, and providing technical support to customers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent experience
• At least 10 years’ experience in an IP/MPLS focused customer facing post-sale role (or consulting systems engineer, technical marketing engineer etc.) role in telecom industry, government, or equivalent military experience
• Detailed understanding of IP/MPLS technology and network implementation in a Service Provider (SP) environment
• Knowledge and experience of configuring EVPN, specifically EVPN-MPLS
• Hands-on knowledge of Nokia IP routing portfolio (SR OS) i.e. ability to configure/troubleshoot the equipment, including relevant certification (SRA/NRSII) and relevant certifications (CCIE-SP, JNCIP-SP) are beneficial
• Secret level security clearance, or the ability to obtain one
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
