The Mechanical Drafter will produce high quality engineering drawings for complex assemblies requiring various machining and joining techniques in support of the development of cutting-edge laser and electro-optical systems.
Requirements
- Collaborate with engineers to translate CAD models from a conceptual design phase into production-ready documents.
- Generate and revise detailed engineering drawings from CAD models in SolidWorks.
- Apply GD&T principles using ASME Y14.5 standards.
- Review drawings for dimensional accuracy, completeness and compliance with ASME standards.
- Prepare and update BOMs with part numbers and required quantities.
- Utilize PDM to maintain configuration control of models and drawings for development and release.
- 3 years of experience producing engineering drawings from CAD tools.
- Associate Degree in mechanical drafting, engineering technology, or related technical field.
