Mechanical Drafter

The Mechanical Drafter will produce high quality engineering drawings for complex assemblies requiring various machining and joining techniques in support of the development of cutting-edge laser and electro-optical systems.

Requirements

• Collaborate with engineers to translate CAD models from a conceptual design phase into production-ready documents.
• Generate and revise detailed engineering drawings from CAD models in SolidWorks.
• Apply GD&T principles using ASME Y14.5 standards.
• Review drawings for dimensional accuracy, completeness and compliance with ASME standards.
• Prepare and update BOMs with part numbers and required quantities.
• Utilize PDM to maintain configuration control of models and drawings for development and release.
• 3 years of experience producing engineering drawings from CAD tools.
• Associate Degree in mechanical drafting, engineering technology, or related technical field.
