Job Description
The Niles Park District IceLand is hiring a dedicated Figure Skating Instructor/Coach to lead Learn-to-Skate classes, private lessons, and assist with events. Instructors will work with all ages and skill levels, from beginners to competitive athletes, and develop training plans. The position is part-time with a focus on providing a positive learning environment and maintaining safety standards.
Requirements
- CPR and First Aid Certification or equivalent
- Continuing education and staff training annually
- Flexible hours for classes, events, and camps
- Experience developing recreational and competitive skaters
- Safesport and CDC training
- Teamwork and parental communication skills
- Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
- Reliable and hardworking
- High school graduation
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or relevant certifications
