Maintenance Technician

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing various skilled and complex tasks in the repair and maintenance of production machinery and equipment.

Requirements

• Monitors, analyzes, diagnoses and then fine tunes or repairs machine problems in conjunction with manufacturing engineering and production supervisors.
• Reads and interprets blueprints, drawings, wiring schematic diagrams, and complex equipment manuals.
• Utilizes advanced mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills in problem assessment.
• Assists with the development and implementation of preventative maintenance programs on all equipment.
• Train production operators on how to perform and assist with simple PM duties.
• Assists with developing and maintaining the equipment spare parts inventory.
• May complete purchase requisitions for the purchase of spare parts.
• Investigates causes of machine problems, raw materials, tooling and equipment.
• Recommends improvements to processes and equipment to improve efficiency.
• Properly documents new procedures and machine changes or additions.
• Accurately completes all paperwork associated with PM and machine downtime.
• May create special fixtures or modify existing equipment with the use of surface grinders, milling machines, arc welder, and lathes.
• Utilizes various diagnostic equipment and measuring devices such as voltmeters, calipers, micrometers, and oscilloscopes.
