Job Description
ngrok is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to shape the backbone of their secure agent-to-endpoint communication. This role involves designing and implementing capabilities for agent components (SDKs, proxies, etc.), improving reliability and scalability, and ensuring developer experience. The position is remote for those outside of the Bay Area and requires team members within commuting distance to San Francisco.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience building production software.
- Deep experience in a systems language such as Go, Rust, Java, or C/C++
- Strong fundamentals in distributed systems, networking, TLS/mTLS, proxying, load balancing, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to design and build for scale
- Hands-on experience with observability tooling
- Strong sense of developer experience
- Skilled at navigating ambiguity and technical risk
- Excellent collaborating skills
