IT, Systems & Data Manager

The IT, Systems & Data Manager is responsible for the secure, reliable and strategic delivery of technology services across Ngáti Whátua Órákei, ensuring stable day-to-day IT operations, strengthening cybersecurity posture, system resilience and data integrity. The role leads the management of external IT providers, IT budgeting and roadmap planning, and provides clear insight into risk posture, system performance and future investment needs.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in a senior IT leadership or technology management role
• Proven experience managing outsourced IT service providers and vendor contracts
• Demonstrated experience overseeing IT operations in a multi-site or complex environment
• Proven ability to manage IT budgets, forecasting and financial reporting
• Experience implementing or strengthening cybersecurity controls and risk management practices
• Strong project management capability with evidence of delivering IT initiatives within scope and budget
• Proven ability to manage day-to-day operations, including planning, communication and stakeholder engagement
• Proven experience managing outsourced IT service providers and technology vendors
• Demonstrated experience in monitoring and enforcing SLAs and contractual performance obligations
• Experience preparing vendor performance reporting for senior leadership
