Job Description
Nextdoor is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build, deploy, and secure the cloud-based architecture powering their community networks worldwide. The role involves building scalable container and serverless computing environments, optimizing Kubernetes resource management, and modernizing Infrastructure as Code practices. The team emphasizes reliability, scalability, and security.
Requirements
- 7+ years experience in a DevOps or Cloud role
- Solid understanding of Kubernetes
- Experience using TypeScript
- Experience with infrastructure as code (CDK, Pulumi)
- Thorough understanding of Linux and networking protocols
- Strong debugging and performance tuning skills
- Experience with performance, automation, monitoring, and capacity planning
- Experience with automation of configuration and bootstrapping of Linux systems
- Eagerness to explore and apply AI and emerging technologies
- Linux certifications (e.g., Linux+, Network+, RHCSA/RHCE/RHCA)
- Experience using Docker or other containerization software
