Job Description
NewsBreak is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer specializing in web crawling and data extraction to build and optimize their data acquisition infrastructure. This role involves developing and maintaining web crawling systems, processing large-scale data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet diverse business data requirements. The company focuses on a Content Intelligence platform shaping the future content economy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in web crawling and data collection
- Proficiency in web scraping technologies like Scrapy, Selenium, and Puppeteer
- Strong coding skills in Python, Java, Go, or C++
- Solid understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, HTTP/HTTPS)
- Experience with distributed systems and data pipelines
- Problem-solving and attention to detail skills
- Familiarity with frontend development
