Job Description
The Kings County District Attorney’s Office is seeking a Paralegal to work in the Early Case Assessment Bureau (ECAB). The ECAB screens all arrests in Brooklyn, determining whether a prosecution will be declined or will go forward. The Paralegal will perform various duties, including interviewing witnesses, drafting accusatory instruments, and reviewing case files.
Requirements
- High school graduation or equivalent and three years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to duties described above;
- A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or;
- An associate degree and two to four years of full-time satisfactory work experience in the performance of paralegal (legal assistant) services;
