Systems Engineer 1

Nelson Mullins is seeking an early-career System Engineer I to join their Information Technology team in Columbia, SC. The role involves hands-on technical support, troubleshooting, and contributing to infrastructure initiatives. The ideal candidate is a resourceful problem-solver with excellent communication skills and experience in IT support, help desk, or internship/co-op work.

Requirements

• Minimum Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, plus CompTIA A+ certification
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting Windows endpoints, O365 apps (Outlook/Teams/OneDrive), and basic networking concepts
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to manage priorities in a ticketing workflow
• Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds and willingness of 40% travel
