Nelson City Council is seeking a highly skilled Senior Transport Planner to join their Infrastructure team. This role involves developing transport policies, strategies, and projects, providing technical advice to council and regional transport committees, and engaging with iwi, stakeholders, and government. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in transport planning, data analysis, and communication.

Requirements

• A relevant tertiary qualification (Engineering, Planning, or similar).
• Proven experience in transport planning, strategic development and policy analysis.
• Knowledge of transport modelling, data analysis, GIS, and RMA processes.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong time management, judgement, and leadership qualities.
