Job Description
The Housing Navigator is a temporary position providing direct assistance to guests experiencing homelessness, focusing on case management and access to housing resources. Responsibilities include connecting guests to programs, developing case plans, and advocating for housing stability through collaboration with partners. This position requires travel to Glendale and a willingness to assist guests in navigating housing assistance programs.
Requirements
- Associate degree in related field preferred
- Minimum of three years of experience in social services
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
- Experience working with affordable housing programs
- Demonstrated experience in VASH, Section 8, Shelter Plus Care, and other housing programs
- Ability to work autonomously and in a multidisciplinary team
- Comfort working in a stationary position
- Ability to manage a caseload up to 20
