Job Description
Natilus is seeking an aerodynamicist to join their engineering team. This role involves designing, building, and testing prototype aircraft, focusing on control surface development, thrust line design, and system integration. The work is critical for the first of its kind, a Blended Wing Body unmanned aerial vehicle.
Requirements
- Expert knowledge of fluid dynamics
- Experience with viscous CFD code (OVERFLOW, FUN3D, or CFD++)
- Strong problem solving, organizational, and communication skills
- Minimum of three years or directly related work experience
- Bachelor of Science in Aerospace or Mechanical engineering
- Understanding of Stability Control and Performance hand calculations
- Experience with flight testing and flight test plans
- Understanding of aircraft certification and FAR Part 23 regulations
- Experience with drafting certification documentation
