Job Description
Narvar is seeking an entrepreneurial Director of Engineering to lead their engineering efforts within the Shopify ecosystem. This is a critical leadership role focused on building world-class solutions for major Shopify merchants. The Director will lead a team, develop technical strategies, drive high-quality releases, and collaborate cross-functionally to elevate Narvar's position as a market leader in post-purchase experiences. The role reports to the CTO.
Requirements
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
- 15+ years of software engineering experience
- Proven experience building and scaling high-performance SaaS products
- Hands-on technical expertise in Ruby, Java, Python, Go, or Node.js, with deep understanding of API-driven architectures
- Experience with Shopify ecosystem (APIs, Flows, webhooks, OMS, POS, payment systems)
- Demonstrated ability to build scalable, reliable, and high-availability systems
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
