Skilled Ground Worker (Suncor)

NACG is seeking Skilled Ground Workers to join our remote mining site team in the Fort McMurray area. This is your opportunity to join one of the safest and largest contracts in the region. For this role, NACG offers a combined rate of up to $36.17/hour as well as room for growth!

Requirements

• 2 years experience in a labourer role
• Minimum 1 year of previous mine experience
• Previous experience shoveling, raking, grade/laser work, managing pumps and dewatering, installing piping and backfill is considered an asset
• Successful candidate must be physically fit, capable of lifting 50 lbs (will be doing a lot of lifting and working outdoors) and work well with others
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Preference will be given to candidates who are mechanically inclined
• A safety-first attitude
• Attentive and possess strong listening skills
• High school diploma, GED, and/or post-secondary education is considered an asset
• Be proficient in English, both verbally and written
• Have a valid Class 5 Driver’s License

• Vacation and Statutory Holiday pay allocated to each paycheck
• Earn up to 61 hours of overtime per 14-day rotation
