K-8th Grade Art Teacher

Mystic Valley Regional Charter School seeks a Full Time K-8th Grade Art Teacher to deliver a comprehensive art program grounded in the Core Knowledge sequence. The Art Teacher will model artistic techniques, create sample work, and guide students through skill development and creative expression.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Art and/or Art Education
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to analyze information, solve problems, and make sound instructional decisions
• Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with students, families, colleagues, and the broader community
• Awareness of school policies as well as state and federal regulations
• Demonstrated teaching, coaching, and leadership skills within a collaborative team environment
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Knowledge of specialized art content and related best practices
• Ability to design and implement instruction aligned with school objectives and student needs
• Successful completion of applicable MTEL exams within one year of employment
