Vice President, Surveillance Strategy, Governance and Transformation

MUFG is seeking a Vice President, Surveillance Strategy, Governance and Transformation to lead the EMEA surveillance strategy and framework components, and ensure the effectiveness of the EMEA surveillance programme. The successful candidate will have proven knowledge and experience in robust trade and communications surveillance frameworks, industry best practice, and relevant regulatory expectation.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years' experience of working in a Surveillance function for investment banks or other financial institutions, or within a consulting or regulatory environment
• Proven experience in leading surveillance risk and control transformation programmes
• In-depth knowledge and expertise of the UK / EU Market Abuse Regulation, other relevant global regulations, and relevant FCA regulatory requirements and expectations on market abuse surveillance programmes
• Strong knowledge and understanding of UK and EU financial markets across major asset classes, trading behaviours, and market abuse typologies
• Familiarity with surveillance technologies and optimization techniques
