Medical Assistant

The Medical Assistant (MA) provides direct patient care and provider support, facilitating coordinated patient-centered clinical support related to visit-level care. The MA may also perform in-office testing and clinic services, preparation and maintenance of exam rooms, maintenance of patient records, and other tasks as requested by medical providers.

Requirements

• Accredited medical assistant certification required within twelve months of hire
• Critical thinking and problem solving skills
• Excellent written, verbal, telephone and interpersonal communication skills
• Familiarity/experience with client interaction on the telephone
• Knowledge of available basic community services
• Basic typing skills (such as 30 WPM)
• Basic personal computer skills and comfort with Microsoft Windows operating system
• EHR experience, EPIC experience a plus
