Assistant or Associate Professor, Family Science and Human Development and Nursing with Specialization in Geriatrics, Well-being, and Health

The Department of Family Science and Human Development and the School of Nursing are seeking an Assistant or Associate Professor with a specialization in geriatrics, well-being, and health. This faculty member will hold joint appointments in FSHD and the SON, teaching courses in both departments. We seek a faculty member who is an active, equity-minded, and emerging scholar and an experienced instructor of gerontology and aging studies, with a professional niche in nursing scholarship that takes a family, developmental, or community approach.

Requirements

• Earned PhD in Family Science and Human Development, Nursing, or related fields, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and/or a Master of Science in Nursing
• Ability to work collaboratively in and with socially, culturally, and economically diverse communities, and have a commitment to strengthening individuals, families, and communities using social justice, democratic practice, and critical thinking
• Priority will be given to candidates committed to interdisciplinary work in the study of social and structural determinants of health and whose scholarship has potential for external funding
