Manufacturing Engineering / Industrial Engineering Co-Op/Intern

This is an opportunity for a Co-Op Student to learn and experience multiple facets of Legrand AV operations through hands-on standard work and continuous improvement projects.

Requirements

• Conduct analysis of transactional times and propose improvements for the flow of inbound/outbound Materials
• Learn Lean practices and apply them to operational and material flows
• Implement a project using the 8 step problem solving methodology
• Work with assembly leads and Manufacturing Engineers to redesign assembly work cells
• Trouble shoot issues from daily builds and redesign to have a more efficient process of building finished goods
• Maintain the privacy and confidentiality of information and protect the assets of the organization
• Understand workplace hazards and take steps to proactively prevent and report hazards or injuries in the workplace
