Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush is seeking a full-time Assistant Office Coordinator to join their rehabilitation team. The individual will serve as a liaison between MOR and patients, facilitating communication with various parties. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, strong customer service skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
Requirements
- Able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Scheduling and registration of patients
- Collecting copayments, self pay and DME payments
- Maintains patient confidentiality with regard to medical records per company policies and procedures and assures compliance with all HIPAA guidelines.
- Communicates well in a professional setting
- Supports the Office Coordinator in sharing daily function responsibilities, communicating any questions, changes or updates
- Obtains pre-approval and schedules Function Capacity Evaluations and verifies insurance
- Respond to patient inquiries and needs in a polite and timely manner
- Effectively use and maintain office equipment
- Performs administrative duties/special projects as assigned
