Full Charge Bookkeeper

Full Charge Bookkeeper position in the transportation industry, responsible for managing all aspects of financial record-keeping and reporting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance.

Requirements

• Manage all day-to-day accounting operations
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Reconcile bank and credit card statements
• Process payroll and ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations
• Manage accounts receivable and payable
• Prepare and file sales tax returns
• Collaborate with management to develop and implement financial policies and procedures
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and industry-specific regulations
• Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits
• Manage and reconcile petty cash accounts
• Prepare financial reports for management
• Track and analyze transportation-related expenses
• Manage billing and invoicing for freight and logistics services
• Reconcile driver settlements and ensure accurate payment processing
• Manage and track vehicle leases and financing arrangements
• Prepare and analyze profitability reports by route, customer, and vehicle
