Job Description
Merlin is a venture-backed aerospace startup building a non-human pilot to enable reduced crew and uncrewed flight. They are seeking a Human Machine Interface (HMI) Software Engineer to develop interfaces for autonomous airborne systems, collaborating with teams like engineering, pilots, and software developers. The role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing software and managing interfaces to meet aviation standards.
Requirements
- Degree in Human Computer Interaction, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Robotics Engineering, or related field.
- 1-2+ years of experience in HMI/UX/UI development, preferably in aviation.
- Proficiency in HMI development tools like GL Studio, Qt, or Figma.
- Proficiency in software development using Python and C++.
- Experience with prototyping tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
