Join the Mental Health Association as a Per Diem Peer Support Specialist for our new 988 Mobile Crisis Outreach Team program. Provide crisis services, de-escalation, and intervention to individuals experiencing mental health or substance use disorder crises in the community.

Requirements

• Two years of continuous recovery experience based on personal experience with a mental illness or substance use disorder (AMI or SUD)
• At least one year of field experience working with community individuals
• Certified by at least one of the following credentialing entities: Addiction Professional Certification Board, Mental Health Association in New Jersey, NSSDAC, the Association for Addiction Professionals, Certified Wellness Coach, Community Mental Health Associate Certificate
• Valid NJ driver's license and good driving record
• Ability to collaborate effectively with community providers and 988 managing entity
