Multilingual Cultural Mentor

This multilingual Cultural Mentor role serves as a liaison between the school staff and students, particularly those learning English as a Second Language (ESL). The role involves providing academic assistance, interpreting communication, and conducting other designated duties within the ESL program. It operates with some supervision and decision-making authority.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associate’s degree, or two (2) years of college (minimum of 48 semester hours), a passing score on the ParaPro Assessment Test, or an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience
• Relevant training and experience in translating and/or mentoring
• Experience and training working with students in an instructional environment, preferably within a bilingual setting
