In-School Suspension Assistant

Memphis-Shelby County Schools is seeking energetic and dedicated school support professionals to assist in in-school suspension activities. The role focuses on instructional and behavioral activities for students referred by the school principal or assistant principal, aiming to transform the district and deliver ambitious outcomes for 110,000 students and families. The ideal candidate will be a solution-oriented, high-performing individual.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associate’s degree, or two (2) years of college (minimum of 48 semester hours) from an, or a passing score on the ParaPro Assessment Test.
• Two (2) years of experience working with urban and/or disadvantaged youth.
• Possess or be able to obtain certification in CPR and First Aid.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working with urban and/or disadvantaged youth.
