Director, Clinical Research - Cancer - FT - Days - MCI

Oversees and guides the daily operations of clinical research to ensure alignment with departmental and organizational objectives. Provides strategic direction and leadership to research program.

Requirements

• Works with and educates physicians, sponsors and other research staff to acquire and implement new research protocols
• Stays abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and advancements in clinical research, translating insights into actionable strategies for the organization
• Provides scientific and strategic guidance to research teams, ensuring the highest standards of scientific rigor, quality assurance, compliance and ethics in clinical research
• Improves workflow optimization by developing new and improving existing workflows, policies and SOPs that promote standardization and best practices across research activities within the health system
• Develops and drives the planning, implementation, and evaluation of clinical trials and research studies, and oversee regulatory affairs and compliance aspects of the clinical research
• Provides direct supervision of Research Specialist managers, Research Regulatory managers and all staff reporting to them in their absence
• Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders, including academic partners, industry leaders, and funding agencies, to enhance research opportunities and apply for funding
• Develops specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives, which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization
• Develops and implements comprehensive research strategies, fostering innovation, collaboration, funding for new study protocols, and cross-disciplinary approaches to advance research knowledge and maintains comprehensive specialty-specific clinical research portfolio
