Job Description
M/E Engineering is interviewing for an HR Generalist position based in Rochester, NY to support our growing company. This role offers a balance of close collaboration with the Director of Human Resources as well as independent work.
Requirements
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field; PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
- Two - three years of experience in a human resources role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Working knowledge of and state and federal employment laws including FMLA, ADA, EEOC, DHR, ACA, and ERISA.
- Ability to prioritize and follow up on project plans/tasks with minimal supervision.
- Excellent interpersonal communication, critical thinking, confidentiality, and project management skills.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to travel between our Buffalo, Rochester, and Schenectady, NY offices on a quarterly basis.
- Ability to travel for attendance at career fairs or other industry events.
- Valid driver’s license.
