Ophthalmic Technician

MDI Hospital is seeking a full-time Ophthalmic Technician to support Attending Physicians, prepare examination and treatment rooms, administer eye medications, clean instruments, and assist with minor procedures. They foster a culture of wellness, collaboration, and community engagement with a small-town focus on providing compassionate and clinical excellence.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Prior Ophthalmic Technician experience in a private medical office.
• Prior customer service experience.
• Strong knowledge of medical office procedures.
• Proficient in computers and relevant software applications.
• Ability to collaborate across departments.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to be proactive and take initiative.
• Cognitive requirements to have face-to-face conversation.
