Job Description
McMillan Pazdan Smith is seeking a creative and innovative Project Architect to join their Charleston team. The role involves providing supervision, coordination, and communication for a variety of complex projects, with an emphasis on client relationship management, cost control, and documentation. Architects are responsible for building code compliance, project estimates, and the overall success of project execution.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Architecture or equivalent
- Registered as a licensed architect
- 8-12 years of experience as an architect
- Experience leading a project team
- Knowledge of estimating project needs
- Proficiency with Revit, Enscape, and Bluebeam
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative suite and Newforma software
- Excellent grasp of building technology fundamentals
- Thorough knowledge of relevant codes, operations, processes, and trends
- Excellent time management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Exceptional organizational and follow-through skills
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Ability to effectively and confidently prioritize and execute tasks with many competing priorities
