Veterinary Technician III

The McConnell Group is seeking a full-time Veterinary Technician III to provide advanced technical support in a research environment. The role involves performing clinical tasks, ensuring compliance with regulations, and collaborating with research teams. This position offers variable hours and is ideal for those comfortable with laboratory animal work.

Requirements

• Minimum degree in veterinary technology or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• 3 years veterinary technical experience in support of nonhuman primates.
• Minimum 5 years experience with animal handling and care, including handling old world primates, rodents, swine, ferrets, and rabbits.
• Must meet requirements for CS-PRP and BPRP to access ABSL-3 and ABSL-4 containment areas.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with surgical suite maintenance and GLP requirements.
• Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) or Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) preferred.
• Strong understanding of laboratory animal science and welfare.
• Familiarity with surgical suite maintenance and GLP requirements.
