MasTec Civil is hiring an experienced Project Manager for heavy civil highway work in the Central FL area. The Project Manager will oversee construction projects according to specification, in the most efficient manner according to schedule and under budget.
Requirements
- Planning and Scheduling: Make a thorough study of the project to be performed.
- Project Coordination: Attend all progress meetings with the Owner/Engineer and ensure that all required documents are submitted to the Owner in a timely manner.
- Personnel Selection: Select key members of your management team and coordinate the projects staffing needs with the Human Resources Department.
- Contract Documents: Familiarize yourself with your contract, specifications, plans, addendums, revisions, special provisions, permits, utility relocation schedules, etc.
- Cost Control: Evaluate the cost effectiveness of the procedures in place and replace all those that are deemed ineffective.
- Subcontractor/Vendor Management: Negotiate with subcontractors and vendors, ensure timely payments, and manage claims and disputes.
- Documentation: Ensure that all project team members are submitting their required documentations.
- Public Relations: Handle negotiations, conduct yourself in an honest, congenial, businesslike manner, and respect the general business community.
- Safety: Ensure that the project is in compliance with the company and OSHA safety regulations.
