The General Project Superintendent is responsible for the overall field execution of a highway construction project. This role oversees daily construction operations, coordinates subcontractors and crews, ensures work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with project plans, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred
- Minimum 10–15 years of experience in heavy civil or highway construction
- Proven experience as a Superintendent or Senior Superintendent on large highway or infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of highway construction methods, materials, and sequencing
