Royal Canin is seeking a Receiving Operator to join their pet food manufacturing plant in Fremont, NE. The Receiving Operator will perform reception operations, quality control, and physical offloading operations.
Requirements
- Quality tests of all incoming raw materials as specified in reception procedure
- Sampling raw materials from bulk trucks, big bags, and totes
- Perform various laboratory analysis on raw materials according to control plan
- Perform receiving document procedures and sign delivery documents
- Inform Q&FS Manager of quality deviations
- Accept or decline reception of goods according to reception procedures
- Collaborate with raw material supply coordinator on inbound receiving scheduling priority
- Offload raw materials from trucks and store in warehouse
- Accurately maintain WMS (Warehouse Management System)
- Report any stock discrepancies
- Use forklifts and shag truck to offload and store raw materials
- Laboratory instrument calibrations, verifications and record keeping
- Perform area-related equipment first level maintenance
- Perform inventory of raw ingredients in bins, silos and racks
- Detect and report raw material quality problems
- Advise raw material supply coordinator of late or missing raw material deliveries
- Customer service with inbound delivery companies
- Prepare samples and documentation for external labs
- Prepare finished products for quality control
- Accurate submission of products to offsite/external laboratory
- Working knowledge of food safety
- Maintain high levels of daily cleanliness and adherence to site GMP's
- Prioritize work daily and communicate with operators
- Promote high quality team environment
- Performs all assigned activities and job tasks within their area
- Understands production schedules and shuts downs
- Detailed cleaning of large areas and work spaces
- Detailed cleaning of large pieces of manufacturing equipment
- Understanding of microbiological and pest control
- Ability to work in enclosed spaces
- Desire to work as an interactive team in a plant setting
- Complete duties in a safe and efficient manner
- Perform sanitation duties as required
- Assist the plant to meet or exceed production goals
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
