Job Description
The Victim Services Bureau (SSB) within the Special Victims Bureau (SVB) of the New York County District Attorney’s Office is seeking a Victim Services Advocate to join the Early Engagement Team (EET). This role focuses on providing proactive support to survivors of intimate partner violence through prevention, investigations, and legal assistance. The advocate will work on a full range of services, including crisis intervention, referrals, and case assistance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college.
- 1-2 years of experience in a relevant field.
- 3-5 years of experience in social work, counseling, or related field.
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, victim advocacy, or a related field.
- Knowledge of the crime victim advocacy, criminal justice system procedures, and post-traumatic crisis intervention.
