Job Description
The New York County District Attorney's Office (DANY) is seeking a Senior Rackets Investigator for its Investigation Bureau. This position involves conducting investigations across various jurisdictions, often with a focus on homicides. The candidate must be certified as a police officer in NYS, possess proficiency in firearms, and pass mandatory background checks. The role requires significant fieldwork and may include undercover operations.
Requirements
- Conducting and managing on-going criminal investigative caseloads.
- Conducting and managing fieldwork, consisting of surveillance, quality assurance checks, and various undercover operations.
- Preparing extensive and comprehensive narrative reports.
- Executing search warrants.
- Working with and overseeing junior investigators.
- Testifying at court proceedings.
- Background investigations on employees, contractors, and registrants.
- Using various City databases for background and information searches.
- Working on special projects and tasks assigned by the Chief Investigator.
