Activities Aide, per diem

Maine Veterans’ Homes is seeking a Part-time Activities Aide to provide meaningful activities to residents in their facilities. This role requires collaboration with a team, ensuring physical, mental, and social well-being, and working on a Sunday-based schedule. The organization is dedicated to serving veterans and their families and recognized by the American Health Care Association.

Requirements

• Direct small and large group activities
• Understand federal/state laws/regulations for long-term care activity programs
• Possess interest in activities and working with geriatric individuals
• Proficiency in spoken and written English
• Ability to understand and respond to residents’ needs
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to communicate in English
