Job Description
Magic Eden is building a Web3 dApp and NFT marketplace to revolutionize the onchain experience. They are seeking a Staff Backend Engineer to design, develop, and scale their backend systems, balancing speed with rigorous technical foundation. The role involves leading projects end-to-end and mentoring others.
Requirements
- 7+ years’ experience building and scaling production systems
- Proven experience delivering high-throughput, low-latency services (fintech, betting, gaming, trading, or similar)
- Strong foundation in distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and data streaming
- Comfortable leading small teams or large projects, designing, developing, delivering, and supporting systems at scale
- Either deep industry experience in betting/sports, or a strong domain specialisation (e.g. streaming, real-time data, distributed systems). We can trade one for the other if you truly excel.
