Job Description
Mackenzie Health is seeking a Food Service Attendant to support the Food and Nutrition Services department. This part-time, on-call position involves completing food service and sanitation tasks, preparing patients' food, cleaning, and general departmental maintenance. The role requires physical capabilities for food handling and standing, and a commitment to patient and staff safety.
Requirements
- Current and valid Food Safety Proton Certificate from Public Health
- Enrolled in or completion of Food Service Worker program from an accredited institution
- Must be physically capable of pushing loaded food carts and lifting heavy boxes
- Strong command of the English Language
- Ability to read and follow standardized recipes and production sheets
- Ability to understand therapeutic diets
- Demonstrates understanding and compliance with patient and staff safety policies
- Commitment to providing an exceptional experience for staff and clients
