Summer Residency Program Teacher

Maranatha Christian Academy has exciting opportunities for college students or recent graduates in Teaching and Student Ministry Programs, and licensed teachers who want to further develop their classroom management & teaching/supervising skills.

Requirements

• Contribute to a positive, mission-aligned summer experience for all students and staff.
• Organize weekly activities in coordination with the Summer Program Director.
• Prepare materials, supplies, and classroom spaces for daily student engagement.
• Assist with arrival/dismissal procedures.
• Maintain accurate reports and required documentation, as needed.
• Uphold program values, policies, and expectations for professionalism.
• Reflect on instructional practices and implement feedback from supervisors or coaches.
• Attend required staff meetings, trainings, and planning sessions.
• Supervise students during class, transitions, meals, recess, field trips, and dismissal times.
• Build strong, supportive relationships with students and parents.
• Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times.
• Manage minor conflicts and student concerns using restorative or positive discipline approaches.
• Follow MCA’s discipline policies and procedure guidelines for expected student behavior.
• Supervise field trips and swim days off campus for your students.
• Maintain the required safety training, which will be provided for you by MCA.
• Maintain a professional appearance of cleanliness and modesty in agreement with MCA school policy
