Maranatha Christian Academy has exciting opportunities for college students or recent graduates in Teaching and Student Ministry Programs, and licensed teachers who want to further develop their classroom management & teaching/supervising skills.
Requirements
- Contribute to a positive, mission-aligned summer experience for all students and staff.
- Organize weekly activities in coordination with the Summer Program Director.
- Prepare materials, supplies, and classroom spaces for daily student engagement.
- Assist with arrival/dismissal procedures.
- Maintain accurate reports and required documentation, as needed.
- Uphold program values, policies, and expectations for professionalism.
- Reflect on instructional practices and implement feedback from supervisors or coaches.
- Attend required staff meetings, trainings, and planning sessions.
- Supervise students during class, transitions, meals, recess, field trips, and dismissal times.
- Build strong, supportive relationships with students and parents.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Manage minor conflicts and student concerns using restorative or positive discipline approaches.
- Follow MCA’s discipline policies and procedure guidelines for expected student behavior.
- Supervise field trips and swim days off campus for your students.
- Maintain the required safety training, which will be provided for you by MCA.
- Maintain a professional appearance of cleanliness and modesty in agreement with MCA school policy
