Lutheran Services Carolinas (LSC) is a faith-based nonprofit that delivers a broad spectrum of residential and at-home care services across the Carolinas. Its core programs serve seniors, veterans, the homeless, foster and adopted children, refugees, and individuals with mental, intellectual, or developmental challenges, offering everything from assisted living and respite care to specialized mental-health and disaster-preparedness initiatives. LSC distinguishes itself through a volunteer-driven, community-partnered model that emphasizes dignity, independence, and holistic well-being, integrating faith, family, and professional expertise. By fostering collaborative networks of donors, faith partners, and local agencies, LSC sustains a comprehensive continuum of care that empowers people to live with pride and purpose.
The Direct Service Professional (DSP) oversees residents' behavior, assists with daily tasks, and provides emotional support in a group home setting. The DSP works as part of a treatment team to develop and implement residential plans, and may be required to drive residents to appointments and activities. A valid driver's license and a minimum age of 21 are required.
