Recreation Manager

The Recreation Manager coordinates and manages recreation and wellness service delivery to promote the highest practicable level of physical, mental and psychosocial functioning of residents across the continuum of Independent Living, Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing and Memory Care Programs. The Manager oversees programming, scheduling, budgeting, quality assurance, documentation, volunteerism, staff supervision, regulatory compliance and marketing.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Therapeutic Recreation & NCTRC Certification (CTRS)
• 5+ years experience in Recreation Therapy
• 3+ years supervisory experience
• Knowledge of health care regulations and guidelines as they pertain to recreation therapy
• Experience with older adults
• Some experience with dementia care desired
• Customer service focused
• Demonstrated the ability to assess residents and develop effective care plan
• Ability to lead, guide and motivate staff
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to analyze problems, plan resolution strategies, implement solutions and evaluate outcomes
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Proficient in MS Office and able to learn new software rapidly
