Mechanical Engineer

As a Mechanical Engineer at Lockheed Martin, you will play a key role in supporting and performing various aspects of design lifecycles and production support for various platforms, including naval, launching systems, and missile systems projects. You will work independently with minimal oversight, accomplish assigned tasks efficiently, and have strong engineering judgment with sound technical acumen.

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace / Aeronautical Engineering or related technical discipline
• Minimum 2 years professional engineering experience
• Experience in CAD modeling software Creo Parametric (detailed part and assembly design)
• Strong verbal and written communications skills
• Working proficiency in Microsoft Office products
• Ability to obtain & maintain a security clearance at the SECRET level (U.S. Citizenship required)
• Active SECRET clearance
• Experience with Electro-Mechanical Design & packaging (design, thermal management, electrical requirements, PWBs, CCAs, and electrical engineering knowledge)
• Working knowledge of EPDM
• Understanding of product lifecycle (problem reports, change notices, etc.)
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with adjacent disciplines
