Aerospace Engineer Intern

Lockheed Martin is seeking a motivated Aerospace Engineering Intern to join the Engineering team in Sunnyvale, CA supporting Space Force’s Next Generation GEO Overhead Persistent Infrared Mission. As an intern, you will work closely with our Lockheed Martin engineers and key supplier technical team to test and analyze the performance for a technically advanced optical payload.

Requirements

• Currently a Junior/Senior standing, pursuing a degree in Aerospace, Optical, or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Experience using collaboration tools like Microsoft Teams, Slack, or Google Workspace.
• Proactive mindset with a willingness to ask questions and learn new tools quickly.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
